Crash In Darien Leads To Marilla Arrest - State Police on Sat., Aug. 28 charged Jonathan P. Murphy, 23, of East Aurora following a hit and run accident in the Town of Darien. Troopers reported that at about 9 p.m., a 2000 Ford Focus was involved in a minor personal injury hit and run auto accident at Route 77 and Sumner Road in the Town of Darien.
Holland School Surplus Grows - Concerned about the state s economic future, the Holland School Board approved holding onto an extra 521,000 in its excess fund balance, an amount greater than the state allows. Some on the board were resistant to the idea and felt it should have been used to reduce the tax levy.
